End the Lockout!

I've had a good autumn so far. There's only one thing that has been missing. The NBA! I bet A LOT of people that feel the same way. I mean could they please listen to the president and start playing. Obama is right. The fans are the reason why NBA exists!

A rare good thing that the lockout has produced is this video and a couple of others..

This is still funny, but hey... If the lockout goes one this might be reality. Well I guess these guys have some money in the bank so they won't run out that soon.


In the mean while the NFL season has been great and full of surprises. There's some great rookies this year. I mean like this one guy called Cam. But so far my highlight was Sean Payton eating a hod dog.

Looks like Sean for a second there forgot he was coaching. But I guess there's nothing wrong having a hot dog and enjoying the game when your team has a lead like that.

Injuries

Since I tore my MCL last night playing basketball. I got inspired to do a piece on sports injuries. For any one who has played sports at competitive level knows that injuries are everyday life for athletes. No one's never really 100 per cent. There's always something bothering you.


I've never had a really bad injury. Like, you know, turned my leg around. So I can only imagine what kind of pain these guys go through. For me, even watching these hurts.


Injuries are not fun. Oh well... some injuries are. 


And take a look at number 3 of these. Yeah I like video games too but what the... 

                            

That's got to hurt

Shuffling through the web again this morning I saw this. And somehow there's only one rugby player on the list. I mean this sport brutal. These guys brake them selves all the time. It's no MMA but football without pads? C'mon that's crazy.


Just to remind my self how ruthless rugby is I went to youtube. Damn there's some big hits in this clip.

In football field those hits might look average but imagine taking a hit like that without any protection.


I also bumped into this list that's related to my yesterdays post. Yes some of those uniforms are horrible. But I think the Bullets and Nuggets uniforms were actually kind of cool.

Why be so mean?

Nowadays almost every team has a mean logo. But there was a time when the logos made you smile. Like the 1960 Steelers logo.

Or the 70's Nuggets logo. These guys just like look their having so much fun.

I guess the Boston Celtics logo still looks kind of funny but they haven't changed it for decades. And I hope the won't. I can't remember the time when logos were like that. But I always love it when a team goes back to their old school uniforms and logos. Now the logos are too similar. It's most of the time a mean looking animal or a letter. In the old days the logos looked more original. Today I was browsing through the web and found this cool site with tons of old logos. Check it out.

Ronnie Brown, please leave the passing for Vick

Quarterbacks aren't the only football players that can throw the football. All players can do it for some extent. Some non-quarterbacks even very accurately. And they can be used in a specific passing-play to surprise the other team.

I don't know about Ronnie Browns passing ability. Maybe he can throw the ball. Or maybe Ronnie was just confused about the play call here. At least I think this wasn't supposed to be a passing-play.

First entry!

Whats up sports fans? This blog is for everyone who's into sports. In the blog I will look at the sports world from a bit different angle. Professional sports are serious business but here I'll get into the funny, crazy, out of the ordinary stuff related to sports (some times very remotely), happening both on and of the court.


Most entries will be include videos, pictures, links etc. that they will circle around. I'm not going to bore you by writing a novel every time. So this said let's get to the point.


I started thinking what would summarize the whole spirit of this blog and immediately thought of this clip.


It's a snickers commercial from couple years ago, and still makes, at least me, laugh every time.

And btw a lot of the entries will be related to basketball since it's my field but I try to keep it versatile.
